Deputy Mike Cash and Sheriff Bob Day demonstrates a transmitter and receiving unit for Operation Life Saver.

Mike Cash holds up the receiving unit.

Sheriff Day explains the criteria for enrolling in the system.

Once outside, Mike turns on the system to locate a "missing patient".  Adam Funkhouser was given a transmitter and was promptly told to get lost.

The directional antenna, once it detects the frequency, beeps when the antenna is pointed toward the transmitter.  The beeps get louder when the receiver gets closer to the transmitter.

Gotcha!

Adam was hiding behind the Town Hall.  The transmitter (in his hand) is about the size of a wristwatch.
