Marbleyard Complex Forest Fire
June 5, 2002 to June 25, 2002
This forest fire was started by lightning on June 5.
As of June 19th, this fire was contained, and by the 25th, has been
extinguished. The
Glasgow Fire Department was assisting the Forestry Department with fire fighting
operations. Our squad was stationed at the helicopter base at Hopper's
Creek for medical evacuation standby's.
We have responded to 8 calls of
injured firefighters and forestry personnel for the duration of this operation.
This was taken at Big Hellgate Hollow at the horse trail parking area.
A Sikorsky S58T is being refueled.
The water bucket is taken off and a cargo net loaded with water and bladder bags is attached.

Over 3,000 acres were burned in this fire.
