Structure Fire Training
April 22, 2002
Corner of Fitzlee  Street and 7th Street.

These two trailers were put to the torch in a training exercise for the Glasgow Fire Department.  In accordance with the Flood Abatement Project, these trailers were condemned.  Other trailers in this area will be bulldozed.

The new Bullard Thermal Imaging System is put to the test.

A fire was set in the living room of this trailer.  Windows were broken out for ventilation.

The fire goes through the roof.

Firefighters practice dynamic entry on a locked door.

Cootie Watts and William Arthur cut open the trailer to gain access inside,

to put the fire out,

With lots of water.

Once inside, work begins to expose any hidden fires within the ceiling and walls.

Once a hotspot is found, it is exposed.

and doused.

Before wrapping it up, the trailer is given a once-over with the thermal imager to see if there are any more hotspots inside.

Drew calls it a night.
