Interstate 81, and several other state highways lie within our area. We also have a variety of trails, including the Appalachian Trail within our area. During the summer months, we receive calls on the river, in the mountains and through the woods for medical assistance.

The combination of outdoors activities, and the existence of the Interstate make for a variety of calls to respond to. And that's not including regular calls for medical assistance. We have a population of approximately 5,000 residents.   We generally have between 600-700 calls per year.
