In 2004, the Glasgow Lifesaving and First Aid Crew commissioned Gary Casteel, a nationally known artist and sculptor, to create a watercolor painting of Natural Bridge. Mr. Casteel has donated this painting, estimated value to be $3,000, and the limited edition authorized reprints to the squad. All sales are to be considered donations to the crew.
The painting currently for sale is of a
winter scene of Natural Bridge, called "Winter". This is the first of a four-part
series. Additional annual paintings will be of the three remaining seasons.
We are offering limited edition reprints of the original "Winter"
painting for sale here.
Mr. Casteel is in the process of painting the next in this
series of four. We anticipate that this next painting will be a
"Summer" Scene. We will again sell raffle tickets on this
painting. The ticket cost will be $5.00.
Please see a squad member if you are interested in purchasing a raffle ticket for the painting. All proceeds from the sale of the prints are to be used for our building expansion fund.
